After reading the lovely Subtle Coral's post here it gave me an idea that I should really tell you all a little bit more about me (I hope she doesn't mind me doing this but I have seen a few floating around the beauty bloggers world.
So, I am going to introduce myself to you a little more.
- I was born in Liverpool and am in my 30's
- I have 4 children, all over the age of 16 (I was a teenage Mum)
- I live in the Isle of Man with my gorgeous husband
- I got married for the first time 10 months ago and have never been happier
- I went to boarding school
- I am an only child
- I used to be a qualified Mental Health nurse
- I gave it up as I broke my back 5 and a half years ago in an accident
- I am in a wheelchair
- I have uncontrolled epilepsy
- I LOVE my PS3
- I own 2 pet corn snakes, their names are Catherine and Delilah (Catherine Earnshaw from Wuthering Heights and Delilah from the eponymous song by The Dresden Dolls
- My favourite band is Queens of the Stone Age
- My favourite actor is Tim Roth and has been since I was 18. My husband looks like him. A lot!
- My favourite actress is Amanda Plummer
- My favourite solo artist is Phildel
- My favourite artist is HR Giger (he designed the original Alien in the eponymous films)
- I hate tea
- I love marmite
- I used to love going to festivals when I was able
- I have had drink and drug problems in the past, but have been clean and sober for over 10 years now
- I can't draw to save my life
- I have an irrational fear of being buried alive due to watching an Alfred Hitchcock film
- I have a voracious appetite for reading, anything that is NOT chick lit
- My favourite book is Wuthering Heights
- My favourite author is currently Lee Child
- My favourite film of all time is The Rocky Horror Picture Show
- I used to be an enthusiastic amateur photographer until my accident
- I have written 3 books but never had the gumption to send them off to a publisher
- My favourite drink is caffeine free diet coke
- My favourite ice cream isn't an ice cream but lemon sorbet
- I have never celebrated a "milestone" birthday or had a party
- I own a pillow pet for when I go into hospital for respite (yes, I am that sad!)
- My husband is my best friend and I only have 3 friends other than him by choice, one is a lad I went to school with from when I was 13, one is agoraphobic and the other is 60. I love them all
- I was born in Liverpool as I mentioned, but moved away from there when I was 9 months old. I grew up in the US (Marfa TX) Malta, Las Palmas and Trinidad due to my father's job
- I got expelled from secondary school
- I was a goth in my teens, and still have my Dr Martens boots from then
- I studied at night school to get my A Levels and then went on from there
- I have fostered 4 teenagers at different times in my life and loved doing it
- It is only recently I have come back to makeup. The combination drug therapy I am on has made me look awful and I have decided to turn it around!
- My favourite "high end" brands are currently benefit and theBalm
- My favourite "high street/drugstore" brand is Sleek, hands down (with MUA coming in a close second)
- I started this blog to learn how to put my makeup on again!
- 1 month in, I have already made a few very good friends
- My favourite YouTube "gurus" are Wayne Goss and Sam and Nic Chapman
- My "can't live without" product is Porefessional by benefit. It hides my
craterspores - I subscribe to Birchbox, Glossybox and Beateco Box - these are what sent me on my "I must get my act together" path
- I can't put liquid eyeliner on to save my life (unless it is on my lower lashes instead of mascara)
- I once had coffee with the guy who played Elliot in E.T.
- I can't sleep without the TV on
So there, 50 random facts about me! I hope you enjoyed them and got to know me a little better from my offering. I do have a YouTube channel that I am hoping to use once I get my confidence up a little but for now, this is going to have to be it!

LOL! Nope, tea just doesn't do it for me at all. I have tried it with and without milk, with and without sugar and it still isn't happening. Coffee, NOW you are talking - decaff and black is how I like it.
DeleteAs for lemon sorbet? I could eat it every day but restrain myself. I blame Waitrose for having a gorgeous one. I keep it to about once every 2 weeks! ;-)
